 Since 2011, we’ve been elevating video production to an art. Born in the city of Philadelphia, Neighborhood Film Company began with a mission.

Creating films for brands is what we do. Apprenticing the formerly incarcerated for competitive careers is why we do it.

As a production company that makes commercials and short films for global brands, as well as narrative film and television projects, documentaries, behind the scenes marketing content, photography, and radio spots, we’ve always viewed our work as community building. Creating a new community that thrives on supporting each other, a culture built on sharing and teaching, and ultimately a filmmaking marked by empathy as we look to include a diverse host of voices in what me make.

OUR BRAND APPROACH 

Since the beginning, we’ve abided by two simple questions: What is the soul of the story? And who is the best filmmaker to tell it?

We don’t believe a creative brief should be limited to a small sliver of directors; instead, we find the best storytellers for the project, sourcing from our global reach and diverse constellation of talent. By prioritizing story, everything else follows, not vice versa.

We work with agencies, direct to client, and every hybrid job in between, approaching each project with our full hearts and minds – no matter the size, scope, or budget. With our apprenticeship transforming and elevating our process, we strive for artistry and excellence at every step.
